Red Sox, Red Sox, Red Sox
Big Bad Boston Bruins, if you don't think Bobby Orr was the best ever you're too young to know better.
The Celtics (Russell, Couz, KC, Sam, Havlichek, Jojo, Cowens, Bird, McHale, Parrish...)
NY Gints as a youngster, they were my Dad's team
NE Patriots of course

Red Sox in the World Series, Patriots reign, I keep reminding my kids to enjoy it while it lasts!!!

Boston Red Sox.

(Only a true member of The Nation would have stayed up to watch til the very end of last night's clinching Game 7, which ended at midnight, knowing he had to rise for work this morning at 3:45am. Yes, i'm insane. But I was rewarded not only by seeing the Sox complete another amazing comeback, but by seeing the final out recorded by the truly remarkable--defensively, anyway--Coco Crisp, whose catch in the triangle was fearless and incomprehensible. Am I still rambling? Of course...I'm on 3 hours of sleep.)

Boston Bruins.

The team, not the management, which I loathe beyond description. I grew up on Bobby Orr, the greatest of all time (don't say 'Gretzky' in response...5 Orrs would defeat 5 Gretzkys every time b/c the 5 Orrs would come close to matching his offense while making him look completely stupid on defense). Bruins "management" has--especially since 1992--turned this team into a sad shell of its former self. If I didn't have the black and gold running thru my veins I would have body-checked them to the curb a long time ago.

Boston Celtics.

I'm not a huge basketball fan, but I got spoiled on the 80's Bird-McHale-Parrish years and I do love Paul Pierce. Plus there's this guy Garnett I keep hearing about. Plus the Bill Walton/Dead link.

NY Giants/NE Patriots.

OK, i might get some flack over this. The Giants is b/c i'm not a big football fan at all, but my Dad is ad growing up it was all about the Giants for him (and for me by proxy). Plus I learned how to curse from my Dad the day Joe Pisarcik fumbled the ball to the Eagles with seconds left and the Gints "comfortably" in the lead, an infamous play which directly led to the invention of the now-ubiquitous kneel-down to end a game.

The Pats b/c they're just so damn good and I live in New England, so they're there, you know?
